I think this is a beautiful example of how taking away the rights of others can cause a massive, unholy backfire. I love Texas, but I am surely not proud of this amendment to our state constitution that is not only blatantly discriminatory, but so poorly written in a attempt to lock down marriage and restrict it to heterosexual couples that it jeopardizes that very unions that it seeks to selectively recognize. <Cue Alanis Morriset> Isn't it ironic?
